Original
cased pair of Deringer-size pistols by Augustus Francotte in Liege and
that legend appears on the barrel flat in gold: A. FRANCOTTE A.
LIEGE. The pieces retain at least 95% of their original blue and
case color. They are profusely engraved over every part, except the
barrels. The barrels are 3-3/8", with an overall length on each
gun of 8-1/4". The box measures 8" x 15-1/2".
The rosewood casing is covered in rust color velour and contains both
guns, turn screw, nipple screw, mold, flask, and combination
charger/cleaning tool. This set is considered one of the finest
cased sets of Deringer-size pistols known to be made outside the USA.
